Thanksgiving is in the air in Riverside, you can't hear the turkeys gobbling, but you can watch the household wives looking for the best buy on their Thanksgiving Turkey.
Traditionally, Thanksgiving was a day set aside to give God thanks for His blessing on America. All of us whole heartily know that our nation has truly received the blessing of God.
I'm sure that not all will see it just as I do: This is just the perspective of a really senior citizen. I guess, a person who has lived a long life with eyes wide open, amazes at the great counrty I saw.
It is true that we have problems, but who doesn't. We as individuals can't fix the big ones, but I can work hard on fixing mine. Years ago I read this, "If you want a better world, become a better you." Makes sense to me.
What has made America great? An honest heart, a commitment to the truth, a tender heart toward all mankind, a strong family unite, an opportunity for all to become the best they can be, and a strong faith in the dream of our founding fathers.
Since nearly everybody in the world wants to come here, I thank God I was born here.
May your Thanksgiving day and another year be your year of true Thanksgiving.
